dogApplying genetics & genomics to understand the fascinating biology of the dog

Our laboratory uses genetics and genomics to investigate three broad areas of dog biology. We aim:

  • To understand the genetic basis of form and function in an evolutionary context
  • To apply variation in adaptive behavior to probe the inner workings of the mammalian mind
  • To leverage the uniquely powerful structure of breed isolates to resolve the architecture of complex disease.

dogBelow are links to pages for our research portfolio. These pages describe both past and current projects. We have tried to describe these studies in a way that speaks to the layman and scientist alike.
