- 1. Create a MyVGL Account

Click "My Account", then click "Create an Account." Fill in your information to create your MyVGL account.
NOTE FOR VETERINARIANS: When creating an account for your vet clinic, we recommend using a shared email address that all authorized team members can access. For privacy and confidentiality reasons, our customer service team can only provide information about a sample and its results to the email address or phone number listed on your MyVGL account.
- 2. Place an Order Online

1. Log into your MyVGL account
2. Under "Order Tests," select the species you would like to test
3. Fill in the animal's information and select the desired test(s)4. Read and check the box to agree to our "Terms and Conditions"
5. Read and check the box to acknowledge our current turnaround time
6. Click "Save" and "Proceed to Checkout"
7. Pay online or select the option to send payment with sample
Once checkout is completed, you will receive a confirmation email. For all species except dogs, the confirmation email will contain the sample submission form and instructions for submitting your sample for testing.
For dogs, if you select "Sample Choice B," our laboratory will mail you the pre-labeled cytology brushes to collect the sample and a sample collection brochure for no additional charge. The sample collection brochure will include our laboratory’s mailing addresses. If you select "Sample Choice A" and choose to use your own interdental/gum brushes, the confirmation email will also include the submission form and instructions on how to send in your attached sample, similar to other species.
- 3. Submit the Sample for Testing
- To avoid delays, please make sure you include the appropriate VGL submission form or barcoded label with your sample. The form/label can be printed directly from your account at any time.
Hair samples and cheek swabs can be mailed to the laboratory inside standard paper envelopes.
